Impactful reads about emotional mindfulness that can change the way you think.

I’ve struggled with forming healthy relationships since I was young.

In school, I’d give my friends my heart, and they’d crush it, leaving me alone. That’s how dramatic it appeared to my younger self. Even in college, I formed beautiful friendships that died out because of some silly tiff neither of us remember.

As I’ve grown older, I consciously worked upon this trait. I’ve understood the three key elements contributing to successful interpersonal relationships are —

  • healthy detachment,
  • expectation management, and
  • radical acceptance.

This journey of self-growth wasn’t easy, but it has helped me reach some clarity with regards to relationships in my life. Books have come to my rescue, like always. In this post, I’m sharing four impactful reads that taught me detachment in a healthy way. The books emphasize practice, contemplation, and removing illusions without all the fluff.
